Privacy policy

Information we collect

Waitlist sign-ups. When you join our waitlist, we collect your email address and any optional answers you choose to give (where you sell, which print-on-demand providers you use, your approximate monthly orders, and whether you want product updates).

Technical information. Like most websites, our hosting provider automatically processes basic technical information such as your IP address, browser type, and the pages you request, to deliver the site and keep it secure.

Connected shop data (when the app launches). If you connect an Etsy shop or a Printify account, we access the data you authorize through their official APIs: orders and order items, listings and products, prices, fees, refunds, payouts, and production and shipping costs. We use this data only to show you your own business analytics.

Information we do not collect or keep

• We do not store your customers' names, email addresses, phone numbers, or shipping addresses. Profit tracking doesn't need them, so they are discarded when data is imported.
• We never see your Etsy password. Etsy connections use Etsy's secure sign-in, and you can revoke access at any time from your Etsy account.
• We do not collect payment card numbers. Subscription payments will be handled by our payment processor.

How we use information

• To manage the waitlist and email you about early access and launch.
• To send product updates and tips, only if you opted in. You can unsubscribe at any time.
• To understand which sales channels and providers our future customers use, so we build the right features.
• When the app launches: to import your shop data and calculate your sales, costs, fees, and profit.
• To keep our services secure, prevent abuse, and meet legal obligations.

How we share information

We do not sell your personal information or share it for cross-context behavioral advertising. We share information only with service providers who help us run ProfitMuse (for example, database hosting, website hosting, and email delivery), under agreements that require them to protect it and use it only on our behalf. We may also disclose information if required by law.

Security

We use encryption in transit, encrypt connection keys and tokens at rest, keep each seller's data separate from every other seller's, and limit staff access. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we work hard to protect your information.

How long we keep information

• Waitlist information is kept until you ask us to delete it, or until 24 months after launch if you don't become a customer.
• Connected shop data is kept while your account is active. If you disconnect a shop, you can also delete its data. If you delete your account, we delete your data after a short cancellation window, except records we must keep by law.

Your choices and rights

You can ask us to access, correct, or delete your personal information, and you can unsubscribe from marketing emails at any time. Residents of California and certain other U.S. states have additional rights under state privacy laws, including the right to know what we collect and to request deletion. We will not discriminate against you for exercising these rights. To make a request, email privacy@profitmuse.app. We respond within 30 days.

Cookies and analytics

This site currently uses only cookies that are necessary for it to work. If we add analytics to understand how visitors use the site, we will update this policy first and describe the tools we use.

Children

ProfitMuse is intended for business owners and is not directed to children under 18. We do not knowingly collect information from children.

Changes to this policy

We will update this policy as ProfitMuse grows, including before the app launches. If we make material changes, we will update the date above and, where appropriate, notify you by email.
